Esonma – the natural cycle of stone

The Esonma collection presents an elegant combination of natural textures and monolithic surfaces, based on a subtle balance of materials. At the heart of the project lies the idea of natural cycles: even massive rock formations gradually erode over time, are smoothed by water, and eventually become sea pebbles. The name Esonma is a neologism derived from the Italian phrase la presa sul fondo marino, meaning “grip on the seabed”.

Esonma explores the hidden potential of natural stone fragments left over from the cutting of slabs. They are given a new life as accent islands, creating a display-like composition across the tabletop. Like fragments of rock carried by the restless waters of the Ligurian Sea and deposited over underwater sand dunes.
