Paninaro – from puffer jacket to armchair

Armchair with removable cover: ID LS/0103 Designer: Sergei Lvov

Walking along Via Brera at night and turning onto Via del Carmine, one discovers the city’s counterintuitive soul: vibrant yet secluded. Milan after dark is hungry for celebration, bringing together different characters in a single spectacle that lasts until morning. Dress codes lose their meaning, and the crowd seems determined to make up for everything missed since the previous weekend. It has always been this way. To capture this feeling, we chose an autumnal image filled with beauty and adolescent magic – something that, when touched, can bring the vivid sensation of youth back into the present.

Street aesthetics become a celebration of youth, love, and informality. The Paninaro armchair embodies a new generation of Milanese Paninari: creative inhabitants of the metropolis who have grown tired of conventional elegance and minimalism, choosing instead variety, playful forms, and a mix of styles. Its deliberately relaxed upper volume borrows visual cues from fashion: quilted puffer fabric, an oversized silhouette, and sleeves that fall loosely at the sides, reinforcing its pop-culture identity. This relaxed shape is supported by an ergonomic base made of steel tubing. Paninaro is designed for contemporary creatives who seek self-expression through experimentation across fashion, design, and culture.
